BIOGRAPHY

After several injuries, I finally went to see a chiropractor and was
impressed by his approach to treatment of musculoskeletal pain. With this experience in mind, I enrolled in chiropractic college and I received my Doctor of Chiropractic degree from Palmer West Chiropractic College in 1997. Since then, I have devoted my career to the prevention & recovery of back pain.

I teach a series of exercise therapy workshops- Allaire Back Fitness-in various locations around the Bay Area. These programs develop strength, stability, and flexibility and lead to a resilient and healthy back.

I recently created and co-produced the Allaire Back Fitness television series. The exercises in this series help you develop a strong and healthy back. The Spanish version of the series, Espaldas Sanas, is currently in production. www.allairebackfitness.com.

I also self-publish a quarterly health & fitness newsletter.

In 1999, I had the interesting experience of providing care for the cast of the Miss Saigon National Touring Company.

Prior to becoming a chiropractor, I trained numerous group exercise & personal training instructors through continuing education workshops for the Aerobics & Fitness Association of America & the American Council on Exercise. I was a licensing examiner for the Aerobics & Fitness Association of America. I maintained my own personal training business & worked with the West Coast Regional Educational Director of the National Academy of Sports Medicine through Balanced Approach. I also worked as fitness director, in charge of staff education & programming, for Warner Center Club in Los Angeles.

I trained as a professional dancer in jazz & ballet for over 20 years. I consistently do my own Allaire Back Fitness workout. I consider it my foundation workout because it supports my very active lifestyle. I study Yoshinkai Aikido. I recently returned to jazz dance. I run, practice yoga, and I love to read.
